St John’s Pre-school Hook is a small, friendly, caring, outstanding setting that provides a high quality learning experience, which is fun and planned around the needs and interests of each child.

We take children from Hook and the surrounding areas, from approx. 2 years 9 months, until they move up to school. St John’s Pre-school has close links with the local community and the schools. We are a term-time only setting, following a similar school year calendar to the local schools.

Our friendly well qualified staff and the vibrant and child centered environment, enables us to deliver the highest standards of care and education to ensure that all children enjoy their time with us and fulfil their potential.

We provide equal opportunities for all children and their families regardless of colour, creed, disability or circumstances. Our setting, including the outside area, is access friendly and secure.

Our children’s safety is paramount and all staff have training in safeguarding and have been checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Our aims are to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where children can learn at their own pace and to provide a foundation for all future learning. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) and are registered with OFSTED and awarded as outstanding in 2021.
